This painting marks a turning point. I made 5 or 6 mistakes which I just about managed to correct…

It was touch and go. If you damage the paper, your painting is ruined. Thereafter, I invested in some seriously good quality paper which is worth the considerable expense.

I keep this painting on show to remind me not to be a perfectionist and to keep on going, even when the going gets tough.
