This painting of “Dartmoor Ponies in Stream” was painted in December 2020. It is special to me for a number of reasons. Firstly, it was the favourite place of our Auntie Polly. She was my Mum’s best friend and she brought a lot of joy to a lot of people over the years, including me.

These Dartmoor ponies are wonderfully free and beautiful to watch.

It is the first time that I had ever painted a horse and this watercolour has a very limited palette which works well, I feel. This is the first painting that I sold (back in February 2021) to a very supportive relative.
